Sticky Fax

StickyFax is something you give.

A little creature that lives on a desk and prints love for the people you miss.

a letter from the guy who makes it

Dan, grinning under a Texas live oak, holding a StickyFax

The machines I grew up with were like campfires.

The Nintendo came with two controllers in the box — you played with somebody. And when you were done, you turned it off, went outside, and forgot all about it. It didn't ping you. It didn't need you. It just gave.

I miss that. My phone is a drug I've used too long — I've turned off every notification I can, and I still reach for it. So I built the thing I was missing: a chunky little machine that sits on your desk and prints notes, doodles, and photos from the people who love you. It can't buzz you and it can't beg. It just waits — and then one afternoon it whirs, and there's a note from your kid on your desk, ready to peel and stick.

No app. No account. No subscription. No ink, ever. There aren't even instructions in the box — you plug it in and it prints its own.

I build every one myself in Dripping Springs, Texas. Want to know anything — including how soon I can build yours? Write me. I answer.

The longer version of why, if you want it →

Watch me set one up.

Go outside.
We're good.

It can't ping you, buzz you, or beg. There's nothing to check and nothing to feel behind on. It just waits — and when you wander back, maybe there's a note from somebody you love.

Black, white, and three inches wide.

Every fax is black-and-white on sticky-backed paper, and somehow the limits make it better. You doodle. You scribble. You send the photo anyway. The stickers end up on laptops, lunchboxes, the fridge, the bathroom mirror.

NO INK.
NO SUBSCRIPTIONS.
NO SHENANIGANS.

It's thermal — there is no ink, ever. No fee, no app paywall, no recurring anything. You buy it and you own it, not the other way around.

Uses standard thermal printer paper. You don't have to buy it from us, but you can.

Made by hand.
Guaranteed by me.

Every StickyFax is printed, built, tested, and signed by me. I can only make a few at a time — if you want one, I'll tell you how soon I can build yours. Free shipping, always.

And if you don't love it, I'll make it right: 100% money-back, no fine print doing tricks.

Fair questions.

Is there really no subscription?

Really. No app either, and no account. You buy the machine and you own the machine — it never asks you for money again.

What if Grandma can't set it up?

She plugs it in and it prints its own instructions — three steps, no menus, no app store. And if she gets stuck, she gets me.

What happens when the paper runs out?

Drop in a new roll — standard 80mm thermal paper, no ink, ever. The sticker-backed rolls that make the magic are four for $50 from me; plain receipt paper works in a pinch.

Who can send to it? Can it get spammed?

Only people with your fax address — the link and QR code your creature prints. Share it with the people you want faxes from; polite limits keep anyone from burying your desk in paper.

What if I don't love it?

100% money-back guarantee. Write me and we'll sort it out like humans.
